Volunteer Requirements
Volunteer requirements for the Eagan Ice Crystal Figure Skating Club (EICFSC) consist of two parts as follow:
Part 1 – Ice Monitoring
An ice monitor for all Club ice sessions is critical to the financial health of the EICFSC and safety of skaters. Ice monitors ensure all skaters are checked in and all skaters buying-on are recorded. Ice Monitors check in Guest Coaches and provide the first aid kit (found on Club cart) or ice (obtained from rink staff) for injuries or skaters in need.
EICFSC members are required to fulfill ice monitoring according to the following table. The number of monitoring sessions required is set when the ice monitoring sign up is distributed for each club contract. The number of monitoring sessions required varies based on the length of each contract. Ice monitoring is per skater, not per family (i.e., if there are 2 skaters in a family it is double the ice monitoring requirement.)

It is essential to fulfill the entire monitoring requirement each contract. If one monitoring session is missed, there will be a 50 percent charge of the full buy-out fee for that contract. If at the end of the contract, more than one monitoring session is missed, the full buy out fee for that contract will be charged. An ice monitoring buyout is available with each contract.
Ice Monitor Training is conducted annually and required for all ice monitors. A family member or friend may monitor for an EICFSC member, as long as they are 18 or over and have received the Ice Monitor Training by the Ice Monitoring Coordinator.

Part 2 – Annual Volunteering
In order to grow and ensure success of the EICFSC, annual volunteer duties are required by each member. This is in addition to ice monitoring outlined in Part 1. An Annual Volunteer Sign-up (via SignUpGenius) will be used to communicate volunteer opportunities, generally distributed each fall.
The following table outlines the annual volunteer requirement of each EICFSC member:

Annual volunteer credits will be reconciled June 1 of each year. A penalty of $250 will be charged for unfulfilled annual volunteering credits.
For members who choose to buy-out of the annual requirement, a check in the amount of $250 can be given to the EICFSC Treasurer or placed in the payment box of the Club Cart. All buy-out checks should note the annual buy-out and the member name.
