Freestyle Open – intended for lower level skaters, but all skaters can skate
MIF High – available to skaters who have passed USFS Juvenile MIF or USFS Adult Silver MIF or above.
Freestyle High – available to skaters who have passed USFS Juvenile FS or ISI FS 5
Edge class - In this class, skaters will learn edge exercises along with using power to enhance their skating ability. The low class is for skaters working on Pre-Preliminary-Juvenile MIF. The high class is for skaters working on Intermediate-Senior MIF. Skaters endure non-stop power with edges and learn edge exercises with little to no stops that will challenge them and improve their moves in the field and jumps and spins. Along with edge/power class the skater will learn about how their blade works and where to turn on them. This class will also improve their strength training and extensions.
Yoga for Figure Skaters - This class is designed to increase flexibility, and help skaters find focus and discipline. It will help skaters build lean muscle, and help with all over body awareness. Skaters will gain flexibility and learn proper ways to stretch their muscles.
Core Class - This class is designed to build core strength. It will focus on increasing abdominal and spine strength. This will help skaters have stronger positions in jumps and spins, and also help prevent injury.
Off Ice Jump Class - In skating, learning how to rotate quickly off the ice is very important. An actual jump only takes a split second! We can improve the amount of rotations by training how to be aware in the air and by knowing each part of the jump from beginning to end, in every detail. When doing off-ice jumps we simulate as closely as possible, the kind of positions you are attempting when on the ice. In this class we will learn about the correct stance positions, developing the distribution of weight, focus, direction, rhythm and the angles of the body in our jumps.
